Strait is simply a body of water that is within a channel. Strait separates two land masses and connects sea with another sea. Some said that some straits here in the Philippines are above sea level before, but because of melting of the ice during the last Ice Age, the place suddenly sunk producing the strait that we now have. The continuous melting of ice on the Arctics until now already devoured many small Philippine islands. And these are forever gone on the map.
